A3C

A3C [All 3 Coasts] is one of the largest hip-hop festivals in the world and takes place annually in Atlanta, GA. Now in its 9th year, A3C has grown from a local hip-hop showcase to an international festival, and incomparable cultural experience. Each year A3C showcases a cross-section of hip-hop music with live performances from some of hip-hop’s most promising and renowned artists/DJs from across the world. For this week's shout-out we highlighted five Sonicbids artists performing at A3C.

 Kush Kelz

Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, but raised in New Jersey, Kush Kelz has always had big dreams. Growing up he wrote rhymes as a hobby, and man are we glad that he decided to turn his hobby into a career. Kush Kelz’s smooth flow and soulful beats create the perfect atmosphere for closing your eyes and losing yourself in music. Mr. Kelz has already shared the stage with names like Joey Bada$$ and Juicy J and following his performance at this year’s A3C Festival we expect even more big things in the near future for this up and comer.

Ducko McFli

Get that idea of Nashville, TN out of your head.  You know the idea i'm talking about, 10 gallon hats, line dancing... Ducko McFli has something else up his hoodie sleeve, Hip Hop.   He's not focused on a specific market or lane, instead his music resonates to anyone who can relate.  You probably heard him on the Club Paradise Tour, kicking it with Drake and French Montana. Though, if for some odd reason you haven't heard Ducko's debut project KINGDUCK, you should get on that. Turn up.

Buggs Tha Rocka

Although the music business is just that, a business, we still like to think that the music itself is more than that.  We want music that moves us and has soul.  Thankfully, there are artists out there like Buggs Tha Rocka.  With a smooth, 90’s flow usually coasting over sampled beats and rolling rolling drums, Buggs makes hip hop that helps to get you through your day.  And while we’re on the topic of this Ohio spitter, gotta shoutout the whole Ohio Against the World team.  We see you Ohio!

P.SO the Earth Tone King

P.SO the earth tone king is a creative tour de force. A graphic novelist, producer, and emcee, P.SO combines his talent in The Gateway to Greatness. And his debut album is a fantastic foray into all three. The fresh sound and his substantial lyricism produce an independent hip-hop album to be reckoned with. My review can be summed up in five words, "This album is dope yo".

Big Face Paper Gang

The Big Face Paper Gang is an independent record label out of the A-T-L that consists of the artists Ben Frank Jr. and Grants.  With beats that hit hard and lyrics that bring real street perspectives it is easy to see how these fellas got the nod for this year’s All 3 Coasts Festival.  With A3C under their belts and more beats on the way we’re expecting big things for the Big Face Paper Gang in the future.
