Win This Contest, Record At Bob Marley's Studio

As a musician, I've always carefully constructed my idea of an ideal recording studio opportunity.  This is it. I was born in the 80's, brought up on Bob Marley, Madonna, Peter Tosh,  RUN DMC and of course Marvin Gaye to name a few.  Most people know me for my oversized headphones (which I usually have around my neck even if there's nothing playing), love of sneakers and mild music obsession.

Even though I can't enter the Marley's Uprising Band Search (insert sad face) because I happened to the Project Manager on the campaign (is this real life?), I strongly encourage anyone who has had a Bob Marley poster in their dorm room, found themselves humming 3 Little Birds or spends countless hours recording to do so.

Having the chance to be listened to by The Marley Family, perform at Summer Music Festivals and record an album with Stephen Marley at Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Some Insider Tips:

    1. When you go to marley.sonicbids.com, crack open a Marley's Mellow Mood, turn up some Bob Marley, take a deep breath in and realize that your life could potentially change forever in the best possible way by hitting that submit button by May 22.

    1. Once May 28 comes around and it's time for your fans to vote, thank them ahead of time for helping you out.  We're sending a fan to Tuff Going Studios too.

    1. Once you're in voting, always remember to use hashtag #MarleyUprising, this is the best way to promote yourself and gain new fans.

    1. If you are selected as a Top 3 vote getter when you take the stage at one of the amazing summer festivals be sure to shout me out, my name is pronounced (ON-dray-uH).

    1. If you are selected as the Grand Prize winner and you get to go to Tuff Gong Studios to record an album with Stephen Marley, do a cover of Mellow Mood if you can. It's one of the best songs ever written in my opinion.

Being the voice of a generation is what legends are made of.  Speaking of the legend himself, I'm hooking you up with my favorite Top 10 Bob Marley tunes.  Enjoy!
