As many of you know, we partnered with our good friends at Eurosonic Noorderslag this year to introduce a new program that financially rewards European festivals who book emerging European talent. We call it EuroSonicbids.
And now with nearly 40 new European festival listings on Sonicbids, it is our pleasure to highlight some of these amazing gig opportunities:
Genk on Stage – Genk on stage is a free 3-day city festival in the city centre of Genk, Belgium that attracts thousands of musicians and music lovers to experience amazing music. Held on June 24th-26th, 2011, the festival hosts over 60 bands on 4 outdoor stages, to play in front of 140,000 people. There is 1 slot reserved for a Sonicbids artist. Genk on Stage is looking for solo artists and bands to perform live at the festival. The festival encourages an eclectic mix of artists with varied pop and mainstream musical styles to submit their EPK's. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances as well as travel (within Belgium) & lodging expenses. The deadline to submit is April 30th.
Immergut Festival – Immergut Festival 2011 is an annual festival showcasing the best independent artists and bands from across the world on three stages. Taking place in takes place in Neustrelitz, Germany (some kilometers away from Berlin) on May 27-28th, 2011, the festival is looking for solo artists and bands to perform live at the festival. Accommodation and catering provided for all selected bands (additional compensation is negotiable.) Artists of a wide variety of genres are encouraged to submit to play alongside 30 other well known indie artists and bands. The deadline to submit is April 30th.
Rabarock Festival – Rabarock Festival 2011 will be held on June 17-18, 2011 in Järvakandi. For the past five years, Rabarock has brought a variety of both local and foreign rock stars to perform in front of about 20,000 Estonian music fans. Rabarock is looking to book Sonicbids solo artists and bands to perform live on one of the two festival days. Selected bands will be provided with accommodation, catering and local transportation. A wide variety of genres are accepted. The deadline to submit is April 30th.
New Attraction Festival – This year’s New Attraction Festival is poised to bring the best established and emerging names in Urban and Hip-hop music to the Netherlands. The ninth edition of the festival will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 in Groningen at Kardinge Beach. Approximately 150 acts will perform in front of approximately 6,000 people. New Attraction is looking for artist al over the world in the genres Urban/R&B, Hip-Hop/Rap and Reggae. At least one Sonicbids artist will be selected to play New Attraction - Compensation is negotiable. The deadline to submit is May 1st.
