Orangeville Blues & Jazz Fest: The 9th annual Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival will feature music in 25 clubs and four outdoor stages with free all day concerts in beautiful downtown Orangeville, Ontario June 2-5, 2011. This four-day event attracts over 30,000 people to the most exciting and loved music festival north of Toronto, which includes workshops and number of club gigs around town. 5 slots have been reserved for Sonicbids artists. The deadline to submit is today!
TD Halifax Jazz Festival: The Halifax Jazz Festival is Atlantic Canada's largest music festival, expecting over 65,000 attendees. For nine days each July, they feature over 450 local, national and international performers, showcasing in over 13 stages/venues. This year, at least one Sonicbids artist is guaranteed to perform. The deadline to submit is January 31st.
Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree: The 2011 Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree is expecting to attract over 5,000 attendees from all over the world. The festival's dream to put on a jazz festival that would bring together some of the nation's top music makers has been a reality for over twenty years, entertaining enthusiastic crowds and exposing talented jazz artists. The deadline to submit is January 31st.
Harvest Jazz & Blues Fest: Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival enters its 21st year in 2011. With more than 40 sponsors, seven venues/stages and 80,000 attendees, it is the largest celebration of Jazz and Blues on Canada's East Coast. Only Maritime musicians in the blues, jazz and folk related genres should apply. Bands are paid fairly and the festival has a substantial hospitality component. The deadline to submit is February 28th.
