Brighton is an incredible place. I’ve had the best fish and chips, and I don’t typically like fish and chips.
Thanks to Jules at PRS I discovered my favorite band of the conference on Friday night, Dinosaur Pile-Up. I don’t recall ever seeing a “mosh pit” at a conference before. They’re a must hear for fans of Verbena, The Cribs, and I’d be remiss to not acknowledge the fact that Nirvana must have had an influence on these lads from Leeds.
On Saturday afternoon I had lunch with Marije from Eurosonic Noorderslag, and we made our way to see Ireland’s Fionn Regan at a fantastic venue called Horatio’s located half a mile out on a pier bordered by rollercoaster’s and carnival games. I did not spot any cotton candy. Does it not exist across the pond?
