After reading Mark's blog, I feel fortunate that the snow cleared out of Boston quickly. Austin was in my sights.
Upon landing, I made my way to my second home; 6th Street. Yes, I am staying on 6th Street. No, I don't have a death wish. I like to be in the middle of the action.
I met up with the Sonicbids crew who were down here and we set out on Operation Sonicbids Booth. This was no small task. We took a barren looking 20x20 space and made it feel like home. Orange and Blue as far as the eye could see (well, as long as the eye could see 20x20) began to pop up. Banners proclaiming out party took their first stand. Things were looking good.
Following some blood (one Band-Aid was needed), sweat (hey, Texas is hot) and tears (in actuality no one cried), our booth became a beacon.
Since it was Interactive, Saturday night was not going to be a marathon of shows. I needed to readjust. So, I fell back on my second love; Comedy. And would you know it? My favorite comedy podcast, Comedy Bang Bang, was recording a live podcast right next to the hotel. Now, I can't give out any spoilers , but just know that Jesse Ventura was involved.
I laughed and laughed and laughed..... but I needed some tunes. In any form. Tunes in the form of dubstep music interspersed with clips of Dr. Who? OK. Sure. I got into that. And that's what was going down at the BBC America Roadhouse. I partied with the Brits until they shut the place down.
And that was my Day and Night 1.
See you bright and early tomorrow.
