They are looking for songs from the genres of acoustic, alternative, Americana, classic rock, electronica, hip hop, new age/ambient, pop, punk, reggae, rock, and world. Selected songs receive a onetime licensing fee of $50 in exchange for rights to cover the duration of the commercial's run time. The deadline to submit is TODAY, June 18th.
IRL Asia Contest 2011 – IRL Music Consultants will be taking their annual Asia catalogue through the Pacific Rim. They are looking for up and coming Sonicbids artists to enter into a song competition, the winner of which will receive space in the catalogue and on the music sampler. These samplers will be distributed to music industry decision makers through the Pacific Rim area in an effort to secure licensing, publishing, or digital distribution deals for artists. Selected artists are included in a contest for inclusion in IRL’s catalogue and CD sampler. Accepted artists must have a professional, finished recording to show. The first place winner will get inclusion in the catalogue, a slot on the CD sampler, and a $100 certificate from Musician’s Friend. The deadline to submit is June 22nd.
Little Hipster Music: Consultation with Producer, David Snow – Veteran Producer David Snow is offering a one-on-one phone consultation to selected Sonicbids artists. This is an amazing opportunity to have your music critiqued and screened by a truly hands on, helpful and seasoned producer. Mr. Snow is not only a producer but also, a multi-instrumentalist. He has been known to transform recordings by Sonicbids artists into full blown, impeccably mixed Masters. There are Sonicbids artists now being played on radio as a result of Mr. Snow’s work and assistance. The deadline to submit is June 25th.
Central Station: School's Out For Summer – School's Out For Summer is a 1 day indoor festival that takes place every year in Wrexham North Wales - UK. They have reserved two slots for Sonicbids artists to play this year's festival on Sunday, July 24th. They are in search of alternative, pop, punk, and rock artists. Artists will be compensated by way of fee and a catering rider. The deadline to submit is June 27th.
The DigiTour Theme Song Search - The DigiTour, presented by YouTube, is the world’s first national concert tour of internet stars. The DigiTour is seeking a theme song and is crowd sourcing the project. They’re looking for unpublished songwriters to write a theme that conveys the overall atmosphere of the tour. The theme must include DigiTour in the lyrics to be considered. They accept a huge range of genres including hip hop, rap, rock, punk, pop, acoustic, acapella, jazz, country, singer/songwriter, electro, house, dubstep, R&B, and world music. The selected song will be published by a major publishing company. The song will then be used for the 2012 tour. The deadline to submit is July 1st.
