Full Sail University - Free Recording Studio Time - Full Sail University, located near Orlando, FL, is looking for musicians/bands/artists to come to their campus and perform in their Recording Session Labs in exchange for FREE Recording Time and a master of the multi-track sessions created in ProTools. Musicians/Bands/Artists of every genre ranging from folk and country to string quartets and rock bands are encouraged to submit, as the students would like the chance to work with as many genres as possible. The Artist Relations Department at Full Sail University typically books 30 musicians/bands/artists per month. The deadline to submit is Aug. 27th.
Music Placement for "Girlhattan" on Cable TV - The brand new show “Girlhattan” which will be premiering on Karmaloop TV this Fall 2011, and will be available for streaming as well. It is a satiric comedy reality show set in NYC, starring NYC celebrities and comedians that is aimed towards young adults. They are looking for 10-15 artist songs to fit within the episodes. No compensation will be provided, just for exposure. The deadline to submit is Aug. 29th.
FOL Records - Free Mixing & Consultation - FOL Records is an online record label that dedicates itself in helping artists jump-starts their music career. FOL offers non-exclusive agreements that enable the artist to have creative control over their fame. They are offering their services free of charge to a guaranteed 30 Sonicbids artists. FOL is seeking primarily pop, hip hop, R&B, soul, and top 40 groups but is open to a wide range of genres. The deadline to submit is Sep. 7th.
GNYC Music Company: Premium New York Venue Bookings - GNYC Music Company, the company behind M.E.A.N.Y. Fest, is offering the opportunity for artists to perform at notable NYC venues such as Delancey, Bowery Poetry Club, Ace of Clubs, and many more. Artists will be compensated. The amount depends on the artists' draw. Artists play 30-minute sets. A sound system and backline will be provided at the venue but artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment. The deadline to submit is Sep. 10th.
