Fame Wizard - Fame Wizard is an Artist Development Company, and this is your opportunity to submit for a chance to have a one-on-one phone conversation with our Talent Scout who is a former head of A&R Research with Capital Records. This is your chance to get feedback from an experienced music industry rep on where you are in your career, where you want to go, and how you can best succeed. The deadline to submit is Aug. 28th.

Soundwave Roster - Soundwave is a New Haven, CT based management company interested in helping artists develop their careers through outside of the box tactics. They are seeking new artists for their 2011 lineup and have reserved one guaranteed slot for a Sonicbids artist from the USA. Soundwave accepts acts from a range of genres including acoustic, adult contemporary, alternative, contemporary Christian, country, folk, pop, rock, singer/songwriter, and R&B. Selected artists will be offered a management deal with Soundwave. Only US artists will be considered. The deadline to submit is Aug. 31st.

Free Recording with Producer Robert Venable - Award winning producer/mixer/engineer Robert Venable has agreed to produce, record, and mix a single at no cost in his studio in Franklin, TN (20 min from Nashville), for one chosen submitted artist or band of his choice. Robert will review every submission and choose the artist/band he thinks could benefit the most from having him produce their next single. The deadline to submit is Sep. 3rd.

In The Groove - Battle of the Bands - In the Groove: Battle of the Bands 2011 will present 64 bands from throughout the Northeast in two rounds of competition with prizes available in both rounds. The competition has divisions for both 18+ and under 18 bands. The promoters welcome a variety of genres including acoustic, adult contemporary, classic rock, country, electronic/dance/DJ, folk, funk, Gospel, hip hop, rap, jazz, Latin, metal, pop, punk, rock, reggae, singer/songwriter, urban, R&B, and world. Battles will be held in Cambridge, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. The deadline to submit is Sep. 3rd.

Florence Winter Folk Festival - The 10th Annual Florence Winter Folk Festival is now accepting applications. The festival will be held in January 14-15, 2012. It includes acoustic music, arts & crafts, food, demonstrations, jam sessions, and workshops. Performances are located in a world-class 450-seat auditorium and in other venues in the community. Selected artists may sell CDs and will be paid an honorarium of $500. Lodging can also be provided if necessary for selected artists. The deadline to submit is Sep. 15th.
