Showcase Live - Showcase Live, located in Foxborough, MA, is a world-class, live entertainment venue that is designed to offer the finest in music, comedy, corporate events, children’s theater and other special programming. Showcase Live is looking for bands from the New England area to audition for the chance to open for a number of major headliners over the next few months, including Ace Frehley, Vince Neil, Sebastian Bach, and The Marshall Tucker Band. Showcases will be held on Oct 17 and 18, with 10 bands playing each date. The auditions will be free and open to the public to ensure there's an audience in attendance. The deadline to submit is Oct. 5th.
FLAC Productions Roster Expansion - FLAC Productions, a complete music production company that specializes in artist development and demo production, is currently looking for singer/songwriters and hip-hop/rap artists to add to the roster. The main studio is set in a spacious apartment in Allston, MA with high ceilings and top of the line vintage and modern equipment, in addition to it's almost endless plug in selection. FLAC stands toe-to-toe with the leading recording studios in Boston. The deadline to submit is Oct. 7th.
Free Tour Press Campaign for Touring Artists - StoryAmp.com is a groundbreaking platform for connecting musicians and the press launching in September. They are offering three Sonicbids artists free press campaigns for their November tours. StoryAmp emphasizes print media in local tour markets, not esoteric webzines that have few readers. StoryAmp will choose three artists from one of the genres mentioned only (indie rock, Americana, Jazz, Hip Hop) on these dates: September 26, October 3, and October 10. Please only apply for this listing if you have confirmed November concerts in the United States. The deadline to submit is Oct. 8th.
FixPlay Music - Based in New York City, FixPlay Music is an online radio station that has 3,000 streams and a growing audience of listeners since its launch in March 2010. The station plays the best in pop, R&B, hip-hop, rap, and contemporary music. A minimum of five Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to be featured on its mid-day show. FixPlay is seeking indie artists for its mid-day mix show, which airs between 2-6 pm Monday-Friday. Selected artists will also be considered for a one on one interview. The deadline to submit is Oct. 19th.
Beats and Lyrics Magazine - Beats And Lyrics Magazine is a bi-monthly print magazine that keeps its readers up to date with current affairs in the urban community. It is looking for at least 1 Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B or Urban Sonicbids artist for an emerging artist feature. All submitted EPK's will be reviewed by industry professionals to determine candidates for the current issue of Beats And Lyrics Magazine. Further rules and regulations will be sent to each candidate in regards to Beats And Lyrics Magazine. One selected Sonicbids artists will be given a feature at no cost. Other artists may be offered a feature for an additional fee, but there is no obligation to accept the offer. The deadline to submit is Oct. 20th.
