Rock the House Series, Los Angeles - Venture House Productions and its subsidiary The Bar and Restaurant Society have teamed up with Soul Satisfaction in to book artists at the most popular music venues in Hollywood. Currently, they book at The Cabana Club, House of Blues, Viper Room, & Pig N' Whistle in Hollywood and La Brie's in Glendale. There are 3 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists between these venues. Set time can range from 30 minutes to 45 minutes depending on the artist. Bands will be paid via a door split or by presale tickets depending on the venue. The deadline to submit is Oct. 31st.
In The Groove: High School Battle of the Bands - In the Groove: Battle of the Bands 2011 will present 64 bands from throughout the Northeast in two rounds of competition with prizes available in both rounds. The competition has divisions for both 18+ and under 18 bands. The promoters welcome a variety of genres including acoustic, adult contemporary, classic rock, country, electronic/dance/DJ, folk, funk, Gospel, hip hop, rap, jazz, Latin, metal, pop, punk, rock, reggae, singer/songwriter, urban, R&B, and world. Battles will be held in Cambridge, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. The deadline to submit is Oct. 31st.
The Next Holiday Classic - The Next Holiday Classic is a free internet song contest for original holiday and seasonal songs. TNHC showcases songs that may not always be "cutting edge" according to current music trends, but rather, may stand the "test of time" for years to come. Artists may submit entries and compete for a First Place award of $300 as well as the opportunity to be presented to major label recording artists for inclusion on their 2012 holiday projects. The second and third place songs will receive cash prizes of $150 and $100, respectively. The deadline to submit is Nov. 1st.
G3 Magazine :: Music Up and Coming - G3 Magazine is present from the streets to the boardroom. No matter a person's background may be, G3 Magazine is like a breath of fresh air. This print publication is universal with a basic appeal to the masses. G3 Magazine is looking for hip hop, rap, R&B, rock and pop artists for an emerging artist feature in the magazine. Music will be reviewed by industry professionals to determine artists that are a good selection for G3 Magazine. Further rules and regulations will be sent to each candidate in regards to G3 Magazine. 2 selected Sonicbids artists will be given a feature at no cost to them. The deadline to submit is Nov. 3rd.
