Empty Vessel Affiliate Artists to Advocate for Kids - Empty Vessel Music wants to partner with independent artists who desire to lend their voices to at risk-youth in its cities. The affiliate program enables artists to expand their impact by offering music sponsorships to these under served youth. All genres are encouraged to apply. There are 10 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. Once approved, artists are asked to make a brief presentation at their events to encourage fans to become instruments of change and sponsor children in the program. Artists will receive compensation of 30% of funds that the artist has solicited, paid on a reoccurring monthly bases. Artists must be performing at at least 25 shows per year. The deadline to submit is May 18th.
BrooklynCountry.com SummerFest - BrooklynCountry.com SummerFest 2011 will be an all day, all night country music extravaganza. Taking place on July 9th, 2011, the event will feature 12 country, bluegrass, and Americana acts along with food, drinks, and family fun. At least 2 Sonicbids will be selected to perform and compensated with a percentage of the door. The event will be hosted at the Urban Meadow and the Jalopy Theatre in Brooklyn, NY. The deadline to submit is May 24th.
Benefit CD for Japan - Step 3 Entertainment is putting together a complication CD to Benefit Japan in which 100% of profits will go to helping Japan's recovery. 4 spots on the CD are reserved for Sonicbids artists who are encouraged to submit socially conscious songs. The CD will be given high media and press coverage, and will also feature well-known artists such as Ryan Calhoun. The CD will be available through all digital outlets. All songs submitted must be free of explicit material and be respectful of other cultures. Artists must own all the copyrights and master recording of their submitted song. The deadline to submit is May 31st.
Full Tuition Scholarship for Berklee in Valencia - Berklee and Sonicbids have partnered to give a singer/songwriter a chance to win a scholarship to the Berklee in Valencia Singer/Songwriter and Vocal Program running from July 1 through July 3 in Valencia, Spain. One performer will be selected from online submissions and given a full ride to the program, including 450€ in tuition and a 100€ stipend to cover room and board. The Berklee in Valencia Singer/Songwriter and Vocal Program gives musicians an unparalleled opportunity to explore songwriting, vocal technique, style, and performance—in a cosmopolitan setting where the musical worlds of Europe, Africa, and the Mediterranean meet. The deadline to submit is June 1st.
Artists On The Rise Radio Show - 320 Radio presents 'Artists on the Rise' radio show, which broadcasts on Sunday nights from 6pm to 8pm, supports up and coming artists. It is looking for songs of all genres to play on air on its online radio station and is reserving 200 slots for Sonicbids artists. All submitted music must be free of profane language, and of broadcast ready quality. The deadline to submit is June 22nd.
