It is looking for smooth jazz and R&B, but is accepting other genres for the radio station. All submitted songs must have clean lyrics and be free of explicit content. 88.9 NYC - 88.9 NYC, based out of New York, NY, is seeking Music for its Top 10 Monday night indie show, which airs weekly from 9pm – 11pm. The show is seeking indie artists for airplay in genres including pop, R&B, hip-hop, rap, alternative, dance and other sub-genres of urban music. All artists who are played on 88.9 NYC will be paid appropriate royalties through their Performing Rights Society. All artists who are selected for airplay on Top 10 Countdown will also be considered for live performances at Marfa Music lounge in NYC, along with a live interview with the artist, on Top 10 Countdown Live Edition. The deadline to submit is June 7th.
The Groove - The Groove, located in New York, NY, is the only place in the city to hear a never-ending supply of live R&B, funk and soul music. It is looking to book local to touring solo artists and bands to perform live on all nights of the week. The Groove welcomes all funk, soul and R&B musicians. Artists must be able to draw at least 40-60 people to the show and be 21 years and over to play. Artists will be compensated. The deadline to submit is June 28th.
