You know the dream opportunity every act pines after? Opening for a huge band at a famous New York venue with a crowd of future fans going wild? Well, two Sonicbids bands are about to make that a reality this weekend.
This Saturday, at internationally acclaimed Brooklyn Bowl in front of hundreds of fans, two Sonicbids artists, will open for world-class touring act The Felice Brothers.
Love? Said the Commander and Horse Motel are the latest bands to win an opportunity to warm the crowd for a high-profile act as part of the ongoing Sonicbids Presents series (now in its second year).
In addition to working alongside world-class bands, Sonicbids Presents artists will be performing at the dope combination bar, bowling alley and dance floor that is Brooklyn Bowl. The connections made by Sonicbids Presents artists are a priceless stepping stone on their paths to success.
Love? Said the Commander, a duo from the Philadelphia area made up of Kate Hall and Chris Bishop, were united in the winter of 2018 via a Craigslist ad. The act, currently exploding onto the scene, combines powerful lyrics and vocals with dynamic guitar work to create a unique sound fans have fallen in love with.

Philadelphia's Black Horse Motel crafts its genre-fluid city folk sound to create an infectiously foot-stomping vibe. Having performed at tons festivals across Pennsylvania, the group is now on a mission to spread their music across the country, and has gained fans and accolades along the way. Boasting three EPs and an LP, Black Horse Motel is without a doubt an act to watch.
Most big-name musicians tour with label-signed opening acts, closing the opportunity to up-and coming acts without representation. Sonicbids Presents started last year with the mission of getting promising talent up on stage with the best acts in the business, opening doors and providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our bands.
This summer, high-energy Sonicbids performers Blue Light Bandits and Epic Season opened for Fitz and the Tantrums at Thompson's Point in Maine, and had the crowd going crazy.
