Orlando is no longer just for Jaws and Mickey Mouse. On April 24th, Florida Music Festival will be taking over downtown Orlando for three days to host over 150 bands across 15 stages, and they're looking for 50 Sonicbids artists to help share the spotlight.

Here's where it gets interesting: early submissions will qualify artists for certain perks that late submissions will miss out on -- and we're not just talking about the discounted pricing. Artists who submit before 11:59 PM on January 31st will be considered for a prize package that includes a main stage performance slot, VIP passes for all members, and a meet-and-greet with FMF keynote speaker(s). To explain how cool this is, we've put together a list of reasons why you should apply early to FMF.

Rock Out the Main Stage

This pretty much speaks for itself, but to help quantify its awesomeness, we decided to put a number behind it: 25,000. That's how many fans attended last year’s festival, and that's how many fans will be watching you play on this year’s main stage. Not only will you be playing in front of thousands of people, you will be sharing the stage with some big-name acts. Past headliners include Minus the Bear, Better Than Ezra, Flogging Molly, Third Eye Blind, and many more.

Party Like a VIP

Valued at over $75 a ticket, VIP passes give you and your band the opportunity to network with industry executives, meet important fans, hang out backstage with the other performers, and chat with the people behind FMF. By applying early to FMF for just $10, you'll have the chance to get the full VIP treatment-- every artist's dream.

Meet the Keynote Speaker

Having the chance to shake hands with the head of your local music blog is pretty cool, but having the chance to pick the brain of Rodney Jerkins (Kanye West’s producer), Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour Founder), or Steve Robertson (Atlantic Records VP of A&R) can be career-changing. Keynote speakers like these are the people you want to meet. Applying to FMF early means you'll be able to learn from the greats and make some good connections along the way.

If you want to qualify for these awesome perks, make sure you submit to Florida Music Festival by midnight tonight. But if you're unable to get your EPK in before the end of day today, don't worry -- the final deadline is February 28, 2014. We'll see you in Orlando!
