Hello Sonicbids artists, promoters, friends, and my mom. She recently told me she Googles me from time to time (weird, right?).
I have the privilege of representing Sonicbids at this year’s Great Escape. The Great Escape is run by Mama Group, one of the UK’s largest music organizations. You can read an interview with Martin Elbourne who is one of the co-creators of TGE here. And though it’s the sixth year of the conference this is my first year in attendance.
At the time of this writing I’ve been in London for nearly 24 hours, and I’m currently on a train making my way to Brighton. I had a great meeting with one of the world’s largest promoters, and we’ll be announcing a great submission opportunity for UK bands as a result of that meeting.
My only evening in London was spent with friends at TopSpin who put together a happy hour networking event at a lovely pub in their neighborhood. New friends were made, and perhaps some future enemies…just kidding.
But all joking and business meetings aside, I’m ready for some music! Here are some of the Sonicbids bands selected to play at TGE that I’m psyched to see in the next couple days: Jade Sara, 22, Babe, The General, Moss, Mean Poppa Lean, Jazz Morley, and tons more.
