Is the musical gene strong in your family? Were you beating on pots and pans before you could hold a spoon? Then your muscial talent probably happened for a good reason! If any of these reflect your childhood, you should stick with music for sure.
1. You started young...
Which likely either delighted or horrified your parents.
2. ...and loved to entertain
Some might have even called you an attention hog.
3. You couldn't stop listening
Everything sounds better when you still have perfect, undamaged hearing!
4. You couldn't help but emulate your idols
The best way to learn is through copying, right?
5. You showed great promise...
Though "prodigy" might have been a generous term...
6. ...and took every performance opportunity available
Which likely included a lot of showing off in your living room for your parents' friends.
7. You couldn't take your hands off your instrument
Even when it wasn't very practical to have around.
8. You couldn't connect with other activities
Even ones that "normal" kids would spend hours doing.
9. But most of all, you couldn't have imagined being happy doing anything else!
Imagine if Paul McCartney had decided he had a hankering for engineering!
