With SXSW around the corner (literally it’s 42 days until the start of SXSW Music), we are thrilled to announce the first of many artists who are playing Sonicbids Official SXSW Party, presented by JanSport. Over the last four years, we’ve teamed up with JanSport to let YOU (read: music lovers from all over the world) help choose one band to play our party through a Battle of the Bands. This year, we are stoked to share that Sonicbids artist Hotfox has won JanSport’s Battle of the Bands 2012!Hotfox is fresh out of Bloomington, Indiana and already making a name for themselves. This quintet brings together melodic and noisy rock in a perfect combo which has landed them hoards of loyal fans. The band on winning: "We're pumped to be included in the Sonicbids SXSW party presented by JanSport. Jansport and Sonicbids are fabulous! We greatly appreciate the support given by our assorted friends and allies. We've never been to Austin before. We look forward to the show."
We are thrilled to add them to the list of killer Battle of the Band winners, including last year's winner was indiepop darlings The Seedy Seeds.
