Last week Thursday, we were graced with the presence of Tim Noyes, lead singer of Aunt Martha. I first heard wind of the dudes of Aunt Martha as they were one of the ten awesome bands selected to play Bonnaroo this year via Sonicbids. Turns out that Aunt Martha is based not too far from the Sonicbids office here in Boston, so we asked Tim to come by with his guitar and sing a few tunes for us.You might argue after hearing the acoustic guitar and Folk-inspired lyrics that there's nothing terribly original about the music of Aunt Martha. But what stood out to me when listening to Tim were the wonderful melodies and his vocal quality that carried them; his music seemed familiar yet very fresh at the same time.
