The Mendocino Music Festival - The Mendocino Music Festival is offering young musicians full scholarships for its 2011 season. Scholarships are available for ten string players – violinists, violists and cellists – and are limited to serious musicians between the ages of 17 and 26. The program includes professional coaching in an intensive week of chamber music as well as participation in the Mendocino Music Festival Orchestra. The two-week Festival, held from Thursday, July 7 through Saturday, July 23, 2011 is in its 25th season, takes place in one of the most spectacular spots on the northern California coast. The deadline to submit is April 8th.

The Seed 2011 Art for the Public / Next Wave - In an exciting brand-new partnership, The Seed and Next Wave are linking arms to develop a visual arts project for the public realm, in the next Next Wave Festival (3 – 20 May 2012). Next Wave is Australia’s leading contemporary arts organization for young and emerging artists, presenting a development program and biennial festival of genre-busting, ambitious new ideas. The Seed aims to assist Australian artists from any background, creating art and music across any genre, to establish themselves as self-sustained, professionals. Together, we believe Australia has a dynamic and unique arts community, and by empowering artists to create life-long careers we enhance Australia’s cultural life. The deadline to submit is April 15th.

Inferno Urban Music Awards - The Inferno Urban Music Awards is an award show designed to encourage urban music artists and celebrate their accomplishments. The 2011 Inferno Urban Music Awards will be held at the Best Academy Fine Arts Auditorium in Atlanta, GA on May 13th-14th, 2011. It is looking for urban artists with a positive and inspirational message to perform live during the two-day event. Performances will be held during the awards pre-show, after party and Friday Night Showcase. Selected artists will have $50 registration fee waived. The deadline to submit is April 15th.



Whiskey A Go-Go - Whisky A Go-Go is a nightclub in West Hollywood, California has a legendary past for hosting some of the most influential bands since the 60's. It is currently seeking bands and musicians to perform live at the venue for immediate openings from now through the next 5 months. Genres, such as rock, alternative, indie, folk, grunge, acoustic, pop, jazz, blues, reggae, hip hop and rap are accepted (but please no country) and bands from the US and Canada are encouraged to submit their EPK's. The deadline to submit is April 24th.

Good Life Bar - The Good Life Bar is one of Boston's best bars, with two floors, three bars, local artwork, live music and DJs from across the country spinning both upstairs and down. The Good Life is looking to book solo artists and bands to perform live on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the venue located at Down Town Crossing in the heart of Boston. Artists will be compensated with 15% of the downstairs bar on Tuesdays or a negotiable amount on Wednesdays. Accepted genres are varied, but please no hip-hop. The deadline to submit is April 26th.
