Find me on:
With licensing making up such a large portion of the music industry, it’s no wonder artists are jumping on the bandwagon and trying to get their music in shows, films and commercials all over the world. It’s the best way to reach a whole new audience without breaking the bank with touring expenses. And our Sonicbids roster is no exception. We wanted to extend some congrats to tons of Sonicbids artists being featured in these unique opportunities right now:

  • The DigiVegas Podcast, a 24-hour internet radio station highlighting emerging artists, selected 9 artists from Sonicbids this month, including “Red Dress” by The Brehms.

  • LA Jazz TV, a local-broadcast and web television show, has selected 9 videos from Sonicbids artists to put in rotation, including one from Jeff Saxon.

  • Soul Surfers, a new show focusing on the people and culture surrounding surfing, has chosen to feature “The Earth Some Day” by Kelle & Me on an upcoming episode.

  • Now in its seventh season, PBS’ Roadtrip Nation has been featuring Sonicbids artists for four years. For 2011, they’ve selected 44 artists to be featured on the show, including The Loose Roosters with their song “Cougar Piss Blues” and Early Ape with their track “These Aren’t The People”.

  • Freerunner is a currently-filming action thriller directed by Lawrence Silverstein and starring Sean Faris of Pearl Harbor fame. They’ve selected 21 artists for possible placement in the film, including Broad Way Sleep’s “Sentimental Value” and three songs from Ghost in the Machine.

  • Finally, Full Moon Productions’ blockbuster sequel Evil Bong 3-D selected 13 artists for possible placement. The tale of an evil alien bong bent on world domination and the scantily clad alien beauties that guard humanity’s salvation, Evil Bong 3-D will feature Echo Movement’s “I Think God Smokes Weed” and Dirty Names’ “Salt Water Jackie”.

Congrats, artists!
