SXSW - Day One

Travel to SXSWThe trip to Logan Airport on Friday morning started with a slippery ride into Boston as it was snowing heavily.  March decided to spring a surprise storm on us.  The forecast for  4-5 inches of snow accumulated into 18- 24 inches of snow in some parts of Massachusetts.

We were thrilled and shocked to see that flights still heading out.  Then, it happened, we got stuck at the gate for about an hour and the passengers, all headed to SXSW started to get restless.  We heard that Logan was closed until further notice.  We were all scrambling to figure out our options.  Then, the announcement came they were going to open up and we needed to move fast, get us de-iced, and try to get out.

Shortly after, Logan was closed down.

The buzz was in the air as soon as we got off the plane.

Downtown was packed with people.

The convention Center was mobbed.

People were everywhere.

6th street was hopping on Friday night.

The food trucks were dishing great Austin food.

Many meetings happened.

Day #1 was officially in the books.
