In all honesty, Office Gigs are an awesome perk to working at Sonicbids. We love inviting bands to hang out, drink some cold ones and play a few tunes for the team. For our first Office Gig of 2012 we were lucky enough to have Boston locals, The Ballroom Thieves, stop by.The trio led by Martin on vocals and guitar, Rachel on cello (yes, read as “badass”) and Devin on percussion brought it with their folk/acoustic sound that was a perfect way to wind down on a Friday. Reminiscent of Avett Brothers, we were treated to songs off their newest record, The Devil & The Deep (cough: out next Tuesday on iTunes) and some sweet covers of The Head and The Heart and everyone’s favorite, Jay-Z.
