It has featured Rock bands that have unplugged to perform as well as artists that are primarily acoustic artists. Artists will be paid $75 each week for their 3-week residency. Jewlicious Music Festival - Jewlicious is an event for young adults started in 2005 by the blog Jewlicious and Long Beach Hillel. The festival is now run by JConnectLA and has offices in Los Angeles. The Festival this year is on the historic Queen Mary, at the Long Beach Harbor. Artists will be compensated based on their usual ticket sales. Even new bands will get something. A total of 10 bands perform at the festival. The deadline to submit is Jan. 12th.
Clinton's Tavern - Originally opened in 1937, Clinton's Tavern is a Toronto tavern tradition on the corner of Bloor and Clinton. Clinton requires a cash or credit card deposit at the beginning of the night for half of the bar minimum. The deposit Sunday-Wednesday is $250; Thursday is $400; Friday-Saturday is $600. If the bar fall shorts of the minimum, the act will be responsible for half of the difference. Bands may charge what they'd like at the door and keep all of the proceeds. The deadline to submit is Jan. 13th.
Cold Days In NashHell - Cold Days In NashHell is a 3-Day music festival, February 3, 4 & 5, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee. They are looking for artists to submit for a chance to play at NashHell. The festival is open to all forms of songwriting and genres of music. Nashville has a broad based music industry that includes rock, contemporary Christian/gospel, pop and all other types of genres. Artists can play solo, duo or with a band. The deadline to submit is Jan. 15th.
