The Next Wedding Classic - The Next Wedding Classic is a free internet song contest for original wedding songs. TNWC showcases songs that may not always be "cutting edge" according to current music trends, but rather, may stand the "test of time" for years to come. Artists are encouraged to submit entries with themes of love, honor, commitment and hope for the future that might be appropriate for a wedding ceremony, reception, party or dance. Selected songs will compete with other songwriters for a First Place award of $300 as well as the opportunity to be presented to major label recording artists for inclusion on their future projects. The deadline to submit is May 28th.
North Avenue Productions Roster Consideration - North Avenue Productions, whose artists have appeared on MTV, MTV2, MTV JAMs, Hdnet, Footlocker Radio, Wrestling Theme songs and more, is a self running indie label that is based out of Chicago, IL. After establishing its first 3 acts, Kidd Russell (hip hop), Bluesmocknancy (metal), the Girthtones (rock) regionally and with Kidd Russell nationally, it is looking to work with a few hard working new artists. It is reserving 2 slots for Sonicbids artists to join the label's roster. Accepted genres include hip hop, metal, rock and singer/songwriter. The 2 artists selected for the development deal will be provided with free studio time, marketing, PR, video production, some booking and career advice to become partners with North Avenue Productions. Voodoo Brew Radio - Voodoo Brew Radio, broadcasting 24/7, is seeking indie artists for airplay in genres including post-punk, garage rock, new wave, blues and other sub-genres of rock'n'roll. There are 10 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. All artists who are played on the station will be paid appropriate royalties through their Performing Rights Society. Live Wire TV Performance Showcase - Live Wire TV had been airing throughout New York City for over 5 years. They will be filming the next season beginning June 12th at Champion Studios in New York. Performing and Interviewing on The Live wire TV Showcase has helped many artist move forward in their career. There are 6 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists to appear on the show live, perform and be interviewed. Selected artists will perform 1-2 songs and a be interviewed for about 10 minutes. This is an opportunity for artists to have its affiliates watch an interview to show their personality and presence. Artists will also get to perform a song, which will demonstrate their showmanship and song structure. Sound equipment will be provided at the studio. The deadline to submit is June 10th.
Maximum Threshold - The Maximum Threshold Radio Show is a hard rock/metal radio show dedicated to promoting unsigned and signed bands. MTRS also provides interviews with successful musicians in all phases of their careers. On any given show you can tune in and hear an interview with rockstars, actors, comedians, and hear some of the world's greatest bands that are unheard of or are mainstream metal. The show will only play mainstream music if they have a guest on the show coming on in the near future who performs in the band. Maximum Threshold has over 100k listeners worldwide and growing. The deadline to submit is June 11th.
