As someone who has always been a little camera shy, I completely understand the resistance to embracing all that Facebook Live has to offer. I mean, for one thing, it’s live, so you can’t edit it to perfection. (Did I mention this is also a major plus?)

Second, you can feel a little silly talking to an audience you can’t see and hoping (trusting) they’ll interact with you either as the broadcast goes out live or when they watch the replay. In the past, I've written about the wonderful benefits of pre-scheduling posts for social media, which allows you to dedicate a certain period of time to all things internet and then move onto other things (like, you know, making actual music). Sites like Twitter and Facebook are wonderful for keeping fans up to date with what’s happening in your life and forging real relationships with them, but you can’t spend all your time looking at nothing but social media, can you?
